A 2-man team from the UK flew in to Los Angeles with a plan to build a web app to source local talent and services. Within 5 days of first speaking to them, we were well on our way to designing and building the entire service. I did the visual design for Bark, working closely with their multi-disciplinary developer. Hiring local talent is traditionally a very tedious and detailed task, so we felt the best route to take with the visual design was to make it feel almost stupidly simple. Everything from the type treatments to the buttons styles makes the process feel simple, basic and unintimidating.
